Ready, Respectful, SafeA new way of thinking

Academy policies

At The John Curwen Co operative Primary Academy we have a number of policies designed to safeguard our pupils and to ensure the Academy is run in a compliant manner. Our policies are regularly reviewed and approved by our Governors

Safeguarding

We are committed to working with parents positively, openly and honestly. We ensure that all parents are treated with respect, dignity and courtesy. We respect parents’ rights to privacy and confidentiality and will not share sensitive information unless we have permission or it is necessary to do so in order to protect a child.

The John Curwen Co-operative Primary Academy will share with parents any concerns we may have about their child unless to do so may place a child at risk of harm.

We encourage parents to discuss any concerns they may have with Mrs S Balfour-Bellamy. We make parents aware of our policy by prospects, newsletters or on our website and parents are made aware that they can view our safeguarding policy on request
